Township Taxes bills are on calendar year and are typically mailed out in March.

School Taxes Bills are on fiscal year (July 1 – June 31) and are typically mailed out in July.

Failure to receive real estate tax bill does NOT relieve any taxpayer from payment of tax. The Tax Collector or Taxing Body is not permitted to waive any amount of money because of the untimely receipt of real estate bills.

Area Collection at the municipal office is typically on the last day to pay at discount from 10AM to 11AM. On any other day, call 724-587-3442 for an appointment. Please leave a message if collector is not available.

Township Taxes are mailed out in March.
School Taxes are mailed out in July.
3 year tax certifications cost $25.00 per parcel.
3 year tax certifications checks payable to Rachel Warner Welsh.
Duplicate tax bill fee is $5.00.
Municipal Lien Letter is $15.00 per parcel, payable to Cross Creek Township.
Mail checks to the Municipal Office, 28 Clark Ave, Avella PA 15312. Postmark is acceptable.

For a receipt, enclose a self-addressed, stamped envelope with your tax payment.

Unpaid taxes are liened December 31. No personal checks after December 15 ^th .

Online payments may be made on the website. eCheck, Visa, Discover, and MasterCard are accepted… NOTE: There is a convenience fee for using a credit card of 2.65% ($3.00 minimum). The eCheck fee is a flat fee of $1.50.

Act 57:

Both the Township and the School have adopted the necessary resolutions authorizing the compliance with Act 57 of 2022 amending the Local Tax Collection Law to authorize, in limited and certain circumstances or qualifying event (dealing with recent transfer of property), for the waiver of additional charges (interest or penalty) and other forms of relief for taxpayers’ late payment for 2023 and each tax year thereafter.
