You can feel doubly satisfied that your gift will acknowledge a special person or occasion while helping further our efforts to enhance the Park.

In addition to providing you with a contribution email receipt, notification of your memorial or tribute gift is sent to the recipient you indicate, acknowledging your thoughtfulness in making such a generous gift.

The Cedar Grove Park is located in Cedar Grove at 26 Ferguson Street, Avella PA. Come enjoy our playground, multi-purpose court, or reserve our beautiful new pavilion and kitchen for your next event!

We would like to thank everyone who has supported the park through our fundraisers or by sending monetary donations. Past fundraisers include a bass fishing tournament at the Cross Creek County Lake, a haircut-a-thon at the Hair Store, a Murder Mystery Dinner at the Fire Hall, as well as a lottery during November 2007. Through fundraising we have raised nearly $17,000. An additional $10,000 was raised through generous donations from local citizens and businesses. We have also received a DCNR grant for $48,000 and a Grable Foundation KaBOOM! Grant for $10,000, for a total income of approximately $78,000.

For Phase 2, the Township received another DCNR grant for $91,200, for the beautiful pavilion, concession and restrooms. Special thanks to Alex E. Paris Contracting Company, who donated their services to install the water and sewer lines; Washington Financial provided a grant for the kitchen appliances; and all the volunteers who help with the fundraisers. Our Purse Auction is always a great success…WATCH for it!

Phase 3, the Township has received another DCNR grant for $149,000 to build a multi-purpose court, upgrade the playground wood mulch with bonded rubberized mulch, etc.
