Animal Control Services
724-503-4417
In event of an emergency, please call 911.

Animal Control Services will enforce the State Dog Laws and our local ordinances including the Barking Dog Ordinance. This service is 24-hours-a-day, 7-days-a-week for around-the-clock emergency coverage.

Animals picked up by Animal Control Services will be boarded in a State-Certified Licensed Kennel.
Humane trap can be borrowed by Township residents at no additional charge. A small boarding fee will be charged to the pet owners for each day the animal remains in custody.
Snow Removal
The Road Department maintains a fleet of 7 trucks, 2 tractors, a grader, a front loader and a backhoe. Normal response time to apply a mixture of salt and anti-skid to all streets maintained by the Township is 2 - 3 hours. State owned roads for which the Township contractually provides snow removal services are: Atlasburg Road, Rea Road, and Old Ridge Road.

If a heavy snow or ice storm occurs, the Roadmaster will evaluate road conditions and schedule staff to maintain the roads during regular hours and after hours. The goal of the Township is to have all roads and streets passable within a reason amount of time. Users of the Township road system are reminded to exercise caution and drive with care. It may not be possible to drive at the legal speed limit during snow and ice conditions.

Residential Plowing Restrictions

Township residents are reminded that it is unlawful to plow or shovel snow onto or across public streets and roadways. Piles of snow left on or near a road can freeze into a solid mass, creating a hazardous situation for vehicles or snowplows. Accidents and /or damages caused by snow piles placed in the roadway may result in liability to the property owner. Please do not park on Township streets or roads during winter storms so the salt and plow trucks can clear the areas more effectively. Any vehicle left parked or standing in violation of this section may deemed a hazard and towed at the owners expense.

The Road Department would like to remind all residents to please slow down while traveling in work areas.
