Cedar Grove Park
The new Cedar Grove Park will be located in Cedar Grove on Ferguson St.
Volunteers are needed for a playground Community Build in April. We need help with everything from unpacking boxes to putting the equipment together and erecting it. Please bring tools if possible. Volunteers should contact the municipal office at 724-587-3442.
We would like to thank everyone who has supported the park through our fundraisers or by sending monetary donations. Past fundraisers include a bass fishing tournament at the Cross Creek County Lake, a haircut-a-thon at the Hair Store, a Murder Mystery Dinner at the Fire Hall, as well as a lottery during November 2007. Through fundraising we have raised nearly $10,000. An additional $10,000 was raised through generous donations from local citizens and businesses. We have also received a DCNR grant for $48,000 and a Grable Foundation KaBOOM! Grant for $10,000, for a total income of approximately $78,000.
Despite our financial progress, monetary donations are still needed to make our park a success. In addition, we need bags of Quikcrete, mulch, grass seed, etc. (A full list of materials is available upon request). Food and drink donations are also being accepted to feed the community build day volunteers. Donations may be sent to:
